Each team starts with a number of commodities in stock and an allowance of cash. Different areas of the room/different rooms signify different parts of the world. Commodities are worth different amounts across the globe.

If teams are able to logistically plan the movements of their commodities around the world, at the correct time, then they will be able to enter the different areas of the room and negotiate with the other teams to buy and sell their wares.Transport time tables are available for inspection, and global commodity values are published, but only those who can respond fast enough will be able to make a profit.
